{"id":90,"date":"2017-04-24T11:30:26","date_gmt":"2017-04-24T15:30:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/old.kenanfellows.org\/2017-acrowell\/?p=90"},"modified":"2017-04-24T11:30:26","modified_gmt":"2017-04-24T15:30:26","slug":"final-reflection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/old.kenanfellows.org\/2017-acrowell\/2017\/04\/24\/final-reflection\/","title":{"rendered":"Final Reflection"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Looking back at one of my first blog posts last year, my three main goals for the internship were:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Increase the scientific literacy skills of my students<\/li>\n<li>Gain a better understanding of current research practices and design authentic assessments for my students based on this<\/li>\n<li>Share my ideas with my PLC and beyond<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>I have accomplished all of those goals. \u00a0First, I incorporated lessons that require my students to read and analyze actual scientific papers. \u00a0Next, my students designed and implemented their own inquiry-based experiments and wrote their own scientific reports based on them. \u00a0And, they peer reviewed each others&#8217; reports before their final submission.
