{"id":102,"date":"2016-11-27T20:29:07","date_gmt":"2016-11-28T01:29:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/old.kenanfellows.org\/2017-jfrantz\/?p=102"},"modified":"2016-11-27T20:29:07","modified_gmt":"2016-11-28T01:29:07","slug":"mentors-and-such","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/old.kenanfellows.org\/2017-jfrantz\/2016\/11\/27\/mentors-and-such\/","title":{"rendered":"Mentors and such"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"twitter-share\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/intent\/tweet?via=MsFrantzMath\" class=\"twitter-share-button\">Tweet<\/a><\/div>\n<p>During our time at Bayer Crop Science this summer Linnea and I had numerous professionals that we got to work with. \u00a0We rotated throughout each department and got to spend time seeing how each professional spent their day and gather information from each of them.<\/p>\n<p>I had some of my biggest &#8220;ah ha&#8221; moments when we were in the labs at the Innovation Center. \u00a0For instance, before entering this experience I could explain genetic modification in very basic terms&#8230; it is the process were genes from one plant are put into another plant. \u00a0I could not go in to further detail than this.
