We are about halfway done with our summer internship with Kenan Fellows. This leaves me feeling a little sad inside.<\/p>\n
I feel like I have a million goals for my classroom this year, and not all of the have to do with DIRT and all of the “science-y things” I am learning.<\/p>\n
Goals for Teacher:<\/strong><\/p>\n Be okay with not always knowing the answer.<\/p>\n Accept and be happy that I am growing and learning just like my students.<\/p>\n Share the world with my students.<\/p>\n Be okay with mistakes.<\/p>\n Set up careful guidelines that my students can follow that allow my students to conduct experiments for CITIZEN SCIENCE.<\/p>\n Create amazing lesson plans for my students to see the science around them.<\/p>\n Goals for Students:<\/strong><\/p>\n Ask Questions.<\/p>\n Make mistakes, learn from them, and change.<\/p>\n Seek answers to questions (other than asking the teacher), and share with the class.<\/p>\n Be okay with not having the perfect answer.<\/p>\n Make goals to be a helpful member of the lab team and workforce.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" We are about halfway done with our summer internship with Kenan Fellows.
