{"id":2,"date":"2016-06-17T02:50:47","date_gmt":"2016-06-17T02:50:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/old.kenanfellows.org\/2017-shaislip\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2016-06-30T13:44:10","modified_gmt":"2016-06-30T17:44:10","slug":"sample-page","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/old.kenanfellows.org\/2017-shaislip\/sample-page\/","title":{"rendered":"About My Fellowship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi friends!<\/p>\n<p>My name is Samantha Haislip and I am thrilled to be an NC State Kenan Fellow for the 2016-2017 school year!<\/p>\n<p>This year will be my third year teaching math at Greene County Middle School in my home town of Snow Hill, NC. \u00a0I attended\u00a0Appalachian State University where I graduated with a\u00a0Bachelors of Science in Middle Grades Education, concentrations in Mathematics and Social Studies. \u00a0This Fall I will begin an online program at ASU for a Masters of Arts: Curriculum Specialist. \u00a0I love teaching math and I&#8217;m excited to dig even deeper into the curriculum!<\/p>\n<p>I wanted to be a Kenan Fellow because I knew\u00a0that it would\u00a0open many other doors for me. \u00a0I&#8217;m excited about working at Hyster-Yale in Greenville for my 3-week internship this summer. \u00a0Through my internship I hope that I will be able to\u00a0constantly bring back materials, ideas, and activities to incorporate into my classroom so that my students benefit from my experience as well! \u00a0I am also looking forward to working with my cohort of teachers from Greene County so that we can collaborate and focus on vertical alignment within the county\u00a0for our math standards. \u00a0We are hoping to focus on number sense, operations with fractions, and graphing using the coordinate grid.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m so excited for this school year! \u00a0I cannot wait to see where the Kenan Fellows program takes me!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi friends!
