As I mentioned in a previous post, I will not begin my internship with Hyster-Yale until July 18th (I’m so eager to begin)! However, I’ve already been provided a mapped out schedule of what I will be working on and who I will be working with and I’m SO excited. \u00a0I cannot wait to get started! \u00a0My schedule\u00a0has me doing work from working on the production line to working on my own project with a manufacturing engineer! \u00a0My husband is a civil engineer and I’ve seen some of his projects dealing with water systems. \u00a0However, I’ve never really thought about manufacturing engineering so I’m excited to see what it entails.<\/p>\n
I met with the cohort of Greene County fellows today and we discussed how all our\u00a0internships were going (of course I mainly listened). \u00a0Everyone spoke about all the crazy jobs they were doing as well as all the different aspects of their company. \u00a0We all have a common goal to create lesson plans for our county that have common math standards\/strands\u00a0to promote vertical alignment throughout the county. \u00a0After speaking with everyone today I have a good idea of what I’d like to work on. \u00a0I spent most of the afternoon brainstorming about what HY might have me doing and how I can bring back what I learn there to my classroom! \u00a0Again… I cannot wait to get started and step out of my comfort zone of the classroom! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
