To the teacher that feels like\u00a0they\u00a0don\u2019t do enough…\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That just means you care.\u00a0 We chose a difficult career.\u00a0 Our job is one of the most grueling in the United States.\u00a0 There is a reason we have a 30% divorce rate and a 50% chance of not making it past the first five years. As a teacher, you are always going to want to do more.\u00a0 You will never have enough hours in the week to focus on your students, you will never get the amount of planning time you want, and trust me, we will never have the budget we really need.\u00a0 But that doesn\u2019t mean we don\u2019t do enough.\u00a0 I always want to do more.\u00a0 I wish I didn\u2019t get so tired after standing all day, so I could give my fourth block the appropriate patience I give the others, but it doesn\u2019t mean I don\u2019t love them as much as the other classes, it just means I am human.\u00a0 And so are you.\u00a0 So, you don\u2019t master the art of eating standing up or you\u2019re the teacher that can never seem to figure out the copier.\u00a0 Don\u2019t let the teachers who \u201cseem to have it all figured out\u201d scare you into thinking they are better off than you, because here is a little secret, they don\u2019t have it all figured out.\u00a0 We\u2019re teachers, no one has mastered everything, and the second we start to, everything\u00a0changes\u00a0and we start all over again.\u00a0 Your primary focus should be your kids.\u00a0 Do you have a lesson plan put together can all benefit from?\u00a0 Was there a life event that occurred that you need to take time to talk about?\u00a0 Are your going to be able to put your best foot forward, if not, you could be compromising their education.\u00a0 Our tiny humans don\u2019t always have an advocate, sometimes they just need someone who cares, and you get to be that person.\u00a0\u00a0If you are a teacher that is feeling like you don\u2019t do enough, don\u2019t let that scare you away, I think it just means you\u2019re in the right place.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n
