{"id":19,"date":"2018-10-07T13:53:03","date_gmt":"2018-10-07T17:53:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/old.kenanfellows.org\/2019-wsmith\/?p=19"},"modified":"2018-10-07T13:53:03","modified_gmt":"2018-10-07T17:53:03","slug":"6-weeks-in","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/old.kenanfellows.org\/2019-wsmith\/2018\/10\/07\/6-weeks-in\/","title":{"rendered":"6 weeks in&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You are about six weeks into the school year. \u00a0Describe one new tool or strategy you have implemented. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2022<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">How and why you are using it?<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2022<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">What impact is it having on you and your students?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It took me longer than expected to begin implementing some of the strategies I have learned. \u00a0I used the first day of school advise: I introduced myself to my students and let them know I was here for them, we did some icebreakers, as well allowing them to sit where they wanted. \u00a0For about a week and a half, I had to go over the beginning of the year activities before we got to the \u201cscience\u201d of class. Then we got hit with the hurricane as we began learning about the hydrosphere. \u00a0I finally feel like now I can begin using other more creative things I have learned. The first tool that I have begun to use is the infographic.
